Feedback Magic vs Featurebase
| Featurebase | Feedback Magic | |
|---|---|---|
| Covers, of our six surfaces | Voting board, changelog, support inbox — 2 of 6 plus one we do not have | All six |
| Cheapest paid plan | $29/seat/mo Growth (yearly), Professional $59/seat, Enterprise $99/seat | $29/mo Starter · $79/mo Pro |
| What you are billed on | Seats AND AI usage — $0.49 per AI resolution, applying from Growth up | Flat — nothing is metered |
Featurebase overlaps us on the board and changelog, and adds a support inbox we do not have. If you want feedback and support in one product, that is a genuine reason to choose them over us.
The pricing has two meters running at once, and the second one is easy to miss.
Per seat, and per AI resolution
Seats are the headline. But $0.49 per AI resolution applies from the Growth plan upward — not only at the top tier, which is where most people assume usage pricing lives. So the bill moves with both how many people you add and how much the AI does.
Ours is flat. AI triage runs on every submission on paid plans out of the included credits, and the plan differentiates on capability rather than on how often you use it. That is the same reasoning that keeps us from metering responses or voters: any usage meter sells against the argument we make in public on five different pages.
Seats are the thing to model
If you are a team of two, per-seat pricing is cheap. At six people it is the whole comparison. Ours includes 2 seats on Starter and 5 on Pro, and extra capability is bought as add-ons rather than as a per-head charge.
Where Featurebase is the better choice
Written by us, about a competitor, because a comparison that wins every row is worth nothing to the person reading it.
- A support inbox, which we do not offer at all
- A free tier at 1 seat, where we have a 7-day trial and nothing after it
- Fibi and their deduplication work, which is more developed than our AI triage on the board surface
- An established product with real customers, where we are new
